Henry Ford Hospital operates one of the busiest Level 1 Trauma centers in Michigan with 93,000 patient visits. The Henry Ford Hospital Emergency Department is a nationally recognized leader in patient care, education and research. We have been educating Emergency Medicine residents in this autonomous environment since 1976.
Three educational programs are offered: a 3-year Categorical Emergency Medicine program, a 5-year Combined Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine (EM/IM), and a 6 year Combined Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Critical Care (EM/IM/CC) program. There are 30 faculty and 52 residents in the department; 43 are categorical, seven are EM/IM, and two are EM/IM/CC.
The Emergency Department is looking for highly motivated residents who are committed to a career in Emergency Medicine and want to train in a stimulating and challenging environment with state-of-the-art patient care techniques.
