Planting the Seeds of a Healthier Future
At Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital, we are dedicated to improving the wellness
of our patients, and committed to helping people in our community lead healthier lives and keep disease at bay. We have made the first steps towards realizing this vision by building a state-of-the-art, 1,500-square-foot greenhouse and 1,500-square-foot education center. Both facilities were built to realize our greater mission to end childhood obesity.
We believe that small changes in what you eat can have a big impact on how you feel. That’s why our new greenhouse – Michigan’s first hospital-based, organic greenhouse – is full of healthy fruits and vegetables, many of which are used in our café and in patient meals.
