We recommend connecting to this page at least 5 minutes prior to start time.
Note: Livestream is a mix between a webinar and a videoconference. We will be visible to you and using power point. You will not be visible to us. Therefore, special videoconferencing equipment is not required. You simply need an internet connection to participate. If you do not have an internet connection, please contact me, and I will provide you with a call-in number and separate power point document.
2. Logging In
After you have reached the event website, you will be prompted for a log-in. Please type in HFHSFellow13. Note that this is case-sensitive, so type it exactly as you see it here.
Please mute your computer microphone or phone to avoid sound distractions during the session.
3. Activating Chat and Identifying Your School
Click inside the “Say” text box located in the Chat window on the right side of your screen.
You will be prompted for a nickname, which we will use to identify and respond to questions during the Q&A segment of the talk. Please enter a nickname to identify yourself.
If your graduate program/school is not already listed by another participant, please type in the name of your graduate school program in the Chat window.
Since you have now activated the Chat function, you will be ready to type in questions if you have them during the session.
4. Learning and Participating
Once the video conference begins, please feel free to take notes on any important information shared.
If you have any questions during the talk, please enter them into the Chat window, and we will address them during the Q&A segment.
