ArtBlock

Henry Ford Health is reimagining great healthcare by moving beyond the walls of our hospitals and clinics — and into the communities we serve.

Henry Ford launched ArtBlock in May 2019. This art-infused free community space honors a vibrant arts district and our flagship neighborhood. ArtBlock weaves together installations by up-and-coming and established Detroit artists, health and wellness programming and more, serving as a gathering space for imagination, exploration, creativity and celebration.

The site and surrounding intersection features murals by fel300ft and Michelle Tanguay, a set of interactive sculptures by Juan Martinez and a sewn installation by Amy Fisher Price. ArtBlock also showcases artwork by Army, Bad Dad 907, bana, ENUF98, Four, Fudweiser, Kobie Soloman, Malt, SINTEX and SW Freddy.

Thank you to the Vera and Joseph Dresner Foundation for its critical support of ArtBlock’s public art and youth programming, and to our inaugural partners 1xRUN, Green Living Science, Grasso Holdings, Make Art Work, and RecycleHere!
