The Henry Ford Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology is a national leader in the diagnosis and treatment of digestive disorders of the esophagus, stomach, intestines, colon and rectum, as well as the liver, biliary tract, gallbladder, and pancreas. Gastroenterology specialists provide a complete range of care, from health screening tests such as colonoscopies to diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures, tissue and tumor biopsies, and advanced therapies for disease management.
The Division's specialists are aggressively researching and testing new ways to treat digestive disorders and liver disease, continually bringing the most advanced therapies to patients.
With a focus on a team approach to patient care, the Henry Ford Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology developed the multidisciplinary Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Center and the Liver Disease Center. The IBD Center is the first of its kind in Michigan, and the Liver Disease Center is one of the largest and most experienced in treating patients with liver disease, including medical management, advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques and liver transplantation.
