Henry Ford Health System also is affiliated with more than 2,000 private practitioners that staff our community hospitals, including an Osteopathic Division. In addition to the Henry Ford's seamless array of acute, specialty, primary, and preventive care services, it also trains more than 700 residents and fellows annually, as well as more than 300 medical students from 10 medical schools.
Henry Ford is supported by a $70 million research program, the majority of which is externally funded, and includes numerous research activities in the neurosciences. Henry Ford ranks in the top 5 percent of all institutions granted funding by the National Institutes of Health.
