Most of our residents go on to enter residencies in Neurology, Ophthalmology, Radiology, Radiation Oncology and Anesthesia.
Message from the Director:
I am pleased to welcome you to the Transitional Year Program at Henry Ford Hospital. There are a lot of exciting and innovative happenings here at Henry Ford, the opening of our multimillion dollar Simulation Center and the expansion of the Henry Ford Hospital and renovation of our emergency room. Our Transitional Progam also is expanding, with the addition of three new positions, making our total program size 21 for the upcoming academic year.
We aim to ensure that education is at the forefront of your experience. Our faculty have a strong commitment to teaching. The diversity of pathology seen here is what I most appreciated, having been a resident and Chief Medical Resident here, just a few years ago. I am confident that our Transitional interns develop a strong foundation in Medicine, which will be an integral part of whatever residency training you eventually pursue, be it Radiology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Anesthesia, PM&R among many others.
