Know Your Numbers

The statistics for heart disease are staggering. Nearly 70 percent of all Americans have some form of heart disease, making it the number one cause of death for both men and women.

People interested in reducing their risk can do so by first understanding what their risk factors are. The experts at the Henry Ford Heart & Vascular Institute have developed an online heart risk assessment, "Know Your Numbers," to help understand the risks.

KnowYourNumbers.com is a new form of online health risk
assessment that delivers a unique, personalized experience
to each and every user.

This online risk assessment tool is for screening purposes only. For questions about the results, a health care provider should be consulted or refer to the resources listed at the end of the report.

If at any time patients experience any of the following, please call 911:

  • Discomfort in other areas of the upper body. Symptoms can include pain or discomfort in one or both arms, the back, neck, jaw or stomach.
  • Shortness of breath with or without chest discomfort.
  • Other signs may include breaking out in a cold sweat, nausea or lightheadedness • Sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm or leg, especially on one side of the body
  • Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding
