About Me

Biographical Statement

Karrie Slominski, Au.D., is a Doctor of Audiology with extensive clinical experience as a Senior Staff Audiologist at Henry Ford Hospital. During her time at Henry Ford, she has specialized in adult and pediatric diagnostics, hearing aid technology, and patient counseling, earning a reputation for compassionate, evidence-based care.

Care Philosophy

My care philosophy is rooted in patient-centered care, providing compassionate, personalized, and evidence-based support to improve my patients’ overall quality of life. A thorough understanding of each patient’s hearing challenges, daily needs, and personal goals acts as a guide to an individualized treatment plan. By using the most current clinical research and validated practices, I can accurately assess my patients’ communication needs and make appropriate recommendations. I prioritize helping my patients understand their hearing loss, the benefits of hearing aids, and strategies for better communication. Throughout the process, I provide a personalized approach, continuous support, and follow-up as needed to ensure patients are comfortable, confident, and successful.

Research Interests

Karrie Slominski, Au.D., is a dedicated audiologist whose career reflects a strong commitment to improving the quality of life for individuals with hearing and ear-related conditions. Her research experience spans from NIH-funded neonatal hearing screening studies examining the impact of prenatal drug exposure on auditory development, to multiple tinnitus-focused investigations.
