Bio Statement
Dr. Iram F. Zaman is a board-certified neurologist and clinical neurophysiologist at Henry Ford Health specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular disorders. She provides comprehensive care for patients with conditions affecting the peripheral nerves, muscles and neuromuscular junction, combining advanced diagnostic testing with individualized treatment plans to improve function and quality of life.
Dr. Zaman earned her medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed an internship at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, followed by a residency in neurology and a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at Henry Ford Hospital. Her advanced training has provided extensive expertise in electrodiagnostic medicine, nerve conduction studies, electromyography (EMG and the evaluation of complex neuromuscular diseases.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Zaman is actively involved in medical education and scholarly activity. She serves as program director for the Neurology Residency Program at Henry Ford Health and is committed to training the next generation of neurologists. Her published work has contributed to the fields of neurology education, neuromuscular medicine and clinical neurophysiology. As a member of Henry Ford Health's neuromuscular medicine faculty, she is dedicated to advancing the diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular disorders while mentoring future neurologists and neuromuscular specialists.
