Since 2014, Dr. Zhang has been invited annually by both the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) to lead the Breakfast with the Expert roundtable seminar. He is also a frequent keynote speaker at numerous international ophthalmology conferences and has published several influential papers in leading ophthalmic journals.

Dr. Zhang is the author of Pseudophakic Monovision: A Clinical Guide (2018) and The Art of Refractive Cataract Surgery (2022), the latter of which has been translated into foreign language. Throughout his career, he has been deeply involved in ophthalmic innovation, with several of his patent-protected technologies in clinical use since 2018.
