Kathleen L. Yaremchuk, MD

Kathleen L. Yaremchuk, MD, is chair of the department of otolaryngology, head and neck surgery, at Henry Ford Health. She is serving a two-year term as chair of Henry Ford Medical Group’s board of governors, the first female physician in its history to serve in this role. The board of governors serves as the executive body of the Henry Ford Hospital Medical Staff and governing body of the Henry Ford Medical Group, and oversees practices and policies related to patient care, quality, safety, research, ethics and appointments. 

Dr. Yaremchuk is chair of the Henry Ford Health Quality and Safety committee and is the first physician to serve in this role. She has served on the Physician Advisory Committee for the National Committee for Quality Assurance and on the National Quality Forum Task Force for Ambulatory Measures. 

She contributes clinically in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery and the Henry Ford Sleep Disorders Center, where testing and treatment is offered, and research is conducted into the causes, treatment and effects of sleep disorders. She has contributed to many publications related to otolaryngology and sleep disorders.

Dr. Yaremchuk also serves on the Board of Directors for Greening of Detroit, a non-profit organization focused on enhancing the quality of life for Detroiters by planting trees, providing job training and involving our youth in the education of the natural environment.
