ACEP Washington DC Reception 2017
Thanks to all of you who joined us at Baby Wale in DC during American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) last fall. This was a special occasion where we honored our patriarch and founder of the Department of Emergency Medicine (DEM) at Henry Ford, Michael C. Tomlanovich (MCT). Mark Hoornstra, M.D. (Class of 1984) and Chad Cannon, M.D. (Class of ’04) spoke about the impact of MCT and Henry Ford Hospital (HFH) on their careers. John Deledda, M.D. kicked off the campaign to establish an endowed chair at HFH, the Michael C. Tomlanovich Chair of Emergency Medicine. It takes $1.5 million to endow a chair so we have a ways to go but we off to a good start as you can see from the Donor Honor Roll. We initially started this journey at a Vegas reunion but we are rededicating and focusing our fund raising efforts with this endowed chair as our goal.
As you can see from the photos, a good time was had by all. If you’re in Indianapolis for Society of Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM) be sure to join us for some fun with your fellow alumni, ER staff, and residents.
