Attended medical school at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey. Completed post-graduate training at University of Michigan Hospitals, including two fellowships in geriatrics and hematology/oncology. Also served as an assistant professor at University of Michigan Medical School.
Dr. Wollner's clinical interests include gastro-intestinal oncology. This includes all tumors along the GI tract, including the esophagus, stomach, intestines and colon.
Awards and Honors
Dr. Wollner has published over 20 articles that pertain to cancer. He has received multiple grants to support clinical trials in which he participates. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society, the Association of Specialty Professors, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, American Association for Cancer Research, Michigan Society of Hematology/Oncology and the Southwest Oncology Group. He is also a fellow of the American College of Physicians.
