CME/Learning Tools

The HFPN offers eligible providers the opportunity to participate in QURE, a case-based, provider-centric learning tool that improves care and reduces clinical variation for patients. These opportunities include seminars, workshops and the QURE learning platform.

QURE: A New, Provider-centric Approach to Care

The HFPN is excited to announce that all members can now participate in QURE, a case-based, provider-centric learning tool that improves care and reduces clinical variation for patients. QURE works directly with you, the provider, through clinically relevant simulations designed to measure and evaluate your care decisions. Once enrolled, cases can be accessed via a personalized link that is sent to your email. Upon completion of these online modules, you will receive individual feedback in addition to learning how your care decisions compare to your peers.

Case simulations are developed by QURE, in partnership with the HFPN – in addition to Jackson Health Network (JHN) – to reflect a typical patient you might see in your practice. HFPN leader James Martin, DO is a Case Reviewer for QURE, providing feedback and suggestions on these modules so that they fit specific objectives of the HFPN and its members. These simulations span evaluation, work-up diagnosis, treatment and follow up care. Each case takes about 10 minutes to complete and can be done on any internet-connected device. There are two QURE seasons each calendar year, with each season including six 10-minute cases (12 total cases per calendar year). The focuses for 2022 are Congestive Heart Failure and Coronary Artery Disease for Primary Care Providers and Cardiologists.

At the end of each season, key clinical insights are available to all participants. At that time, you will receive feedback regarding your care decisions based on the latest clinical guidelines. You can also anonymously compare your clinical decision-making with that of your peers via the weekly leaderboard. Additionally, you have the opportunity to earn up to 26 valuable CME credits per year for your participation. Prizes are awarded to the top performers in each case as well.

QURE has been highlighted in many peer-reviewed publications and has been validated in more than 30 journal articles including JAMA, Annals of Internal Medicine, Health Affairs, Population Health Management, The Joint Commission Journal and the Journal of Health Economics. For more information about participation, or to enroll in the program, please email Sharon Thomas, HFPN Manager of Network Development, or email the HFPN directly.
