About Me

Dr. Bowles attended medical school at Wayne State University. He completed his post-graduate training at Hutzel Hospital through Wayne State University Affiliated Hospital program followed by a fellowship in Pulmonary Diseases at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He has participated in the 'Visiting Ethics Scholars Program' sponsored at the Hastings Center in New York. Currently, Dr. Bowles is a senior staff physician at Henry Ford Hospital in the Pulmonary/Critical Care Division with special interests in sarcoidosis and biomedical ethics issues.

Awards and Honors
Dr. Bowles is a member of the ethics committee for Henry Ford Hospital, Wayne County Medical Society, American College of Physicians, American Thoracic Society/American Lung Association and American College of Chest Physicians. He is also the staff investigator for Henry Ford Health System Resource Center for Minority Aging Research. Dr. Bowles has also received various awards, including the Henry Ford Health Sciences Center Senior Staff Award for teaching excellence in Medical student education and a Resolution of Tribute from the Mayor and Council of the City of Southfield for the heroic action of helping save his neighbor and making a difference in his community.
