Dr. Sulanc, M.D., received her medical degree from the University of Istanbul, Cerrahpasa Faculty of Medicine. She completed an internal medicine residency at the Michael Reese-University of Illinois and her endocrinology fellowship at the University of Nebraska. She then moved to Michigan, where she was affiliated with William Beaumont Hospital and was an assistant professor at the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. She joined Henry Ford Health System in 2012. 

Her clinical interests include diabetes, dyslipidemias, thyroid disease, transplant endocrinology, pituitary and adrenal disorders and alternative medicine. She has received additional training and certification in thyroid ultrasonography, ultrasound guided thyroid biopsy, thyroid cytopathology, and bone densitometry.

Philosophy
I believe in a partnership with my patients where they are at the core of the care team. There is almost always more than one management option and the best decision and plan for each patient should take into account the individual's core beliefs, preferences, and values. My goal as a physician is to provide my patients the information and guidance they need so ultimately they can make informed decisions about their treatment plan, feel comfortable with their choices and be invested partners and leaders in their medical care.

Dr. Sulanc is Board Certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism and in Internal Medicine. She is a member of several societies including the Endocrine Society, American Academy of Clinical Endocrinologists and the American Diabetes Association. She is recognized as a Fellow of The American College of Endocrinology.
