Dr. Sturgill has been involved in residency teaching at Henry Ford Allegiance Health since the inception of the program in 2012. She transitioned into leadership within the program as the Associate Program director in 2013 and then advanced to the role of Program Director in 2015. She has demonstrated a passion for teaching residents and medical students the various aspects of Family Medicine. She enjoys teaching as well as performing osteopathic manipulative medicine and in-office procedures. In her time outside of her clinical duties, she enjoys spending time with her children who are actively involved in athletics, watching movies, and gardening.

jon lake mdJon Lake, MD

Interests: Hospice and Palliative Care, Hyperbaric Medicine

Dr. Lake worked in a private office for 12 years, then transitioned to Medical Director of the Henry Ford Allegiance Health Hospitalist Service, and is now working as the Medical Director for Henry Ford Allegiance Health Hospice and Palliative Care. He has been with the residency program since its start in 2012, and enjoys teaching, as well as being taught. His outside interests are his family, biking, and traveling.

Interests: Global Health, Continuity Clinic Precepting, Physician and Patient Wellness

Dr. Miller has been involved in residency teaching at Henry Ford Allegiance Health since his return from Africa in 2016. As Core Faculty, he has primarily dedicated his time to one on one precepting at the Center for Family Health. Eight years spent in Mexico and Burundi has given him a passion for Global Health. He loves to see residents thrive and is always available to listen and give feedback. Outside of medicine, Dr. Miller loves to travel with his wife and four teenagers, work outside, and run.
