DETROIT – Meredith Phillips, chief information privacy and security officer for Henry Ford Health System, was appointed to the Medical Identity Fraud Alliance Board of Directors. Phillips will serve as vice president for three years.
Henry Ford is a founding member of MIFA, the first public/private sector organization created to unite health care stakeholders with jointly developing solutions and best practices for preventing, detecting and remediating medical identity fraud.
Phillips joined Henry Ford as chief privacy officer in 2003. She held that position until 2012 when she was promoted to chief information privacy and security officer, in which she oversees all aspects of Henry Ford’s privacy and security operations.
Phillips earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in computer information systems and health care services administration, respectively, from the University of Detroit-Mercy, and is completing a master of jurisprudence in health law degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
