Understanding Peripheral Arterial Disease: Lunch and Learn

Enjoy a light lunch while vascular experts Nicole Kennedy, MD, and Syed T. Ahsan, MD, discuss peripheral artery disease (PAD), a narrowing of the peripheral arteries to the legs, stomach, arms, and head. PAD is similar to coronary artery disease.

Blood Pressure Screenings
Fridays in February (5, 12, 19, 26) on Main Street
10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Free.
Henry Ford nurses will provide blood pressure screenings, heart-healthy food sampling, games, educational information, and a chance to win a prize. No appointment necessary. Walk-ins are welcome.

Heart Smart™ Screening
Cardiology Department
Cost: $99. Call 1-866-381-0005 for an appointment.
The Heart Smart™ Screening provides what no other area hospital offers — a one-on-one review of your results with a cardiologist. The screening includes measuring electrical activity of the heart, blood pressure, body mass, blood glucose and lipid profile checks. A 12-hour fast prior to the screening is required.
