I am very happy to be back with the Henry Ford Health System family. I have spent my entire nursing career caring for a broad spectrum of patients, from developmentally disabled children and adults in the Wayne County/Detroit area, to providing care to epilepsy/neurology adults at HF Main campus as an RN. During my 5 years at HF, I saw a need to help those patients with co-morbid mental illness and returned to graduate school in 2011, completing my degree as a psychiatric board-certified nurse practitioner in 2015 from Wayne State University. Subsequently, I provided psychiatric services to both adolescents and adults as part of an intra-collaborative model in an urban environment setting. My experience also includes medication management and psychotherapy in an adult partial hospitalization and transition program, in addition to the geriatric population in assisted living/skilled nursing environments. To supplement my collaborative nursing skills, I also obtained a Masters of Education degree (with a specialty in Health Education) in 1995 from Wayne State University.
I look forward to working with patients facing significant life-altering events as I has done for the past 37 years. My supportive role in the area of cancer management will continue to provide comfort through medication management and psychotherapy as patients and their families transition through this journey.
