Marinated Kidney Bean Salad

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup grape jelly
  • 2 tablespoons chili sauce (such as Heinz Chili Sauce)
  • 2 (16-ounce) cans dark red kidney beans
  • 1/2 cup celery, diced
  • 1/4 cup purple onion, diced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

In a medium saucepan, heat grape jelly and chili sauce for about 5 minutes or until the jelly is melted. Allow mixture to cool while preparing salad. Rinse and drain kidney beans and place in a bowl. Add celery, onion, garlic, pepper and grape jelly mixture. Stir and cover. Place in refrigerator for at least 3 hours or overnight before serving.
