Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound ground turkey breast
  • 1/2 pound ground sirloin
  • 1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup + 3 tablespoons ketchup, divided
  • 3/4 cup onion, finely diced
  • 1/2 cup red pepper, finely diced
  • 1/4 cup dark raisins
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 whole egg
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F. In a large bowl, combine turkey breast, ground sirloin, breadcrumbs, 1/4 cup ketchup, onion, red pepper, raisins, parsley, egg, oregano, basil, garlic, salt and black pepper. Form mixture into a loaf and place in a 9 x 5-inch nonstick loaf pan. In a small bowl, mix 3 tablespoons ketchup and brown sugar. Spread over meatloaf. Bake for 1 hour, uncovered. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
