Clerkship Objectives:

The objective of this course is to teach medical students the pathophysiology, diagnosis and general therapeutic approaches to disease of endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism. An emphasis is on the consultative approach to patient care of these diseases and disorders. The content of the curriculum emphasizes diabetes mellitus, thyroid disease, lipid disorders and hormone replacement therapy.

Description:

This course offers to the medical student the opportunity to learn the pathophysiology, diagnosis and general therapeutic approaches to endocrine and metabolic disorders. It is conducted in the outpatient and inpatient settings. Once student would be taught per block of time.
