About Healing Arts
The Mission of the Healing Arts Program is to create restorative and calming environments for patients, visitors and staff by integrating the creative arts and aesthetics into the healing process. Healing Arts seeks to bring literary, performing and visual art experiences that celebrate the cultural diversity of the communities we serve. Selected art reflects the surrounding environment and support the local art community.
The goal of the Healing Arts Galleries are to promote healing by reducing stress & promoting a relaxing environment that replaces anxiety with hope for all of our patients, families and staff.

Annual Employee Exhibit
Healing Arts hold its first ever employee art exhibit. This annual exhibit will feature system employees, volunteers and staff and give them the opportunity to share their art work. Please see Call for Entries: Staff Artwork Submission Form for details.

Call for Entries
Healing Arts is currently accepting 2-D entries for the 2013 gallery season. Individual artists and arts organizations are welcome to submit recent works. Please see the Call for Entries form for details.

Exhibit Galleries
Healing Arts opened its first gallery space in September of 2009 at the Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital. The Artist Avenue Gallery features local and regional artists as well as an annual employee exhibit. Artwork is rotated on a regular basis and displays various styles, medium, and subject matter.

- Turning Point
What was a Turning Point in Your Life? The Henry Ford Macomb Hospital Healing Arts Program is partnering with Turning Point to hold a special exhibit centered on the theme of depicting a Turning Point in someone's life through art. Please see the Call for Entries form for details.
