All video visits are conducted securely through Henry Ford MyChart. Follow the step-by-step instructions listed below or download a quick guide for more detailed information:

If you are using a mobile device or tablet, please note you MUST use the MyChart app. You can download it in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

1. Open the MyChart app on your device and log in to your Henry Ford MyChart account
2. Click on the “Video Visit On Demand” icon.
3. Follow the prompts to select your current location, reason for visit, and click “Put Me In Line.”
4. Type out your reason for visit and select your notification preference. Click “Schedule”
5. To eCheck-in, verify your personal information including insurance, consent for treatment, current medications, allergies and current health issues, and a possible questionnaire.
6. Choose to “Begin Visit”
7. Then, you will be redirected to the App Store or Google Play Store for a one-time download of an App called VidyoConnect
   • How to download the VidyoConnect app
   • Within the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, search for “VidyoConnect”
   • Click "Get" or "Install" to download the app
   • Once the app has been installed, click to open it, and accept the license agreement
   • Upon the download completion of the VidyoConnect app, you will need to close out of the VidyoConnect App (DO NOT enter a Portal address)
   • Return to the Video Visit icon within the MyChart App and select BEGIN VISIT.
8. Press Open if prompted. Agree to the terms and conditions and privacy policy. Follow prompt to allow access to your Microphone, Camera and Speakers
9. Click “Join” and you will be put in a virtual waiting room. For optimal video viewing quality for you and doctor, please hold your mobile device horizontally (on its side).
10. Once the doctor joins the visit, you can begin speaking with the doctor.
11. When the visit is over end the call and close the VidyoConnect app completely by clicking the "Cancel" button or by swiping up from the bottom of the screen.

Note: If you get disconnected during the video visit, select “Rejoin” in the VidyoConnect app to reconnect.

Do not drive while engaging in a video visit.

How to Download the Henry Ford MyChart app

Download the MyChart app (recommended option) for your smartphone or tablet  from the Apple App Store or the Google Play store.

1. Within the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, search for “MyChart”
2. Click "Get" or "Install" to download the app
3. Once the app has been installed, click to open it, and accept the license agreement.
4. You will need to select Henry Ford MyChart as your healthcare provider. If you allow MyChart to use your current location when prompted, a list of nearby options will be provided. Scroll until you see “Henry Ford MyChart” and select it. (If you choose not to allow your location to be used, you can enter “Henry Ford” or “Michigan” under “Name/State/Zip” to find “Henry Ford MyChart” and select it.)
5. You will now be able to login to your MyChart account through the MyChart mobile app. Enter your username and password and click "Log In".

1. Go to your Henry Ford MyChart account.
2. Click on “log in to MyChart” on the right navigation
3. Under “Visits,” choose Video Visit On Demand (Primary Care Now).
4. Follow the prompts to select your location and the reason for your visit.
5. Choose “Computer” when asked about what device you are using for the visit. You can choose the option to “Test Hardware” to make sure the camera, microphone, and speaker work properly. (A download of a “video plug-in” may be necessary. See directions for the plug-in below.)
6. Select “Put me in line.”
7. Type out your reason for visit and select your notification preference. Click “Schedule”
8. To eCheck-in, verify your personal information including insurance, current medications, allergies and current health issues.
9. Click “begin visit”
   • You will receive a one-time prompt to allow this website to open on computer. Select “allow”.
   • Complete the download of the VidyoConnect program by selecting Download and then Run.
   • Agree to the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. Be sure to allow access to your Microphone, Camera and Speakers when prompted.
10. Click “Join”. You will be put in a virtual waiting room.
11. At the appointment time, your doctor will join the video visit
