Pediatric Radiology

Whether your child is dealing with an injury or illness, our radiology team is prepared to help your family in any way we can. In addition to working with your child’s care team to diagnosis a condition, we will help explain to you the different imaging options and what might work best for your child. Above all, we believe in making sure your child is as comfortable as possible throughout the entire process.

Tailoring radiology care for your child

Children are more sensitive to radiation than adults, which is why we have child-friendly scans and protocols in place to make sure your child’s health and wellbeing are protected while still producing high-quality images. When it is required to use machines that produce radiation for a specific test, we follow the Image Gently and ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) standards to limit radiation exposure.

In some cases, a specific test may require anesthesia or sedation. Our experienced team is equipped to make sure your child’s imaging experience is as safe and worry-free as possible.
