Henry Ford Medical Center – Grosse Pointe Pierson Building: Reopening Progress Updates

Henry Ford Medical Center – Grosse Pointe consists of two buildings: the Pierson Building (currently reopening) and the Cottage Building (which has continued to provide care throughout renovations). The Pierson Building began a phased reopening following the 2021 fire, and we continue our work to bring more services back online in this space.

What's Open Now

• Ophthalmology Services: Henry Ford Ophthalmology – Grosse Pointe is now located in the Pierson Building. Please check in at this location for your ophthalmology appointments.
• On-Site Pharmacy: Henry Ford Pharmacy – Grosse Pointe in the Pierson Building is open to support patient prescriptions and care needs.

What's Next

We’ll continue reopening additional departments in the Pierson Building as construction is completed and inspections are finalized. As more services return to this location, we’ll update this page with scheduling information and share details directly with our patients.

• Parking and Access: Parking is available in the attached garage on Muir Road, with ground-level access at the front and rear of the Pierson Building.
