Marc P Goulet, MD

Biographical Statement

Dr. Marc Goulet was born and raised in the Metro Detroit area. He attended Michigan State University for undergraduate education where he majored in Physiology with specializations in Health Promotion and Bioethics, Humanities, & Society. He was a member of the Honors College and graduated cum laude. 

Dr. Goulet completed medical school at Wayne State University School of Medicine. He earned Clinical Honors in Emergency Medicine and Psychiatry. He earned Clinical Commendation in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Obstetrics/Gynecology, and Neurology. 

Dr. Goulet then went on to St. John Hospital and Medical Center, now Henry Ford St. John Hospital, to complete his residency training in Emergency Medicine. While in training, he was part of the research project/publication Utilization of a 90-Second Magnetocardiography Using a Novel Analysis System (Cardioflux) in the Evaluation of Emergency Department Observation Unit Chest Pain Patients – A Pilot Study.

After completing his residency training, Dr. Goulet joined Independent Emergency Physicians. He is proud to be a partner in a physician-owned democratic group and looks forward to many more years of practicing emergency medicine in the Metro Detroit area.

Care Philosophy

My hope is to provide effective, efficient, and empathetic care in a potentially high stress environment. I want to reduce the worry of being in the emergency department and even make it a pleasant experience. Whether a patient is discharged home safely or admitted to the hospital, I strive to provide great care and maybe even share a laugh along the way.
