About Me
Biographical Statement
Born and raised in Jackson, Michigan, Sarah has been honored to care for families in her hometown community throughout her career. Before becoming a Certified Nurse Midwife, she served for many years as a Labor and Delivery nurse, providing compassionate and skilled care to individuals and families during some of life's most meaningful moments. Sarah also has many years' experience in breastfeeding education, teaching prenatal classes, and managing obstetrical complications.
Sarah earned her nursing degrees from Jackson College and Eastern Michigan University and went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing and Midwifery training at Frontier Nursing University, where she developed a strong foundation in the importance of community-based midwifery care.
She is deeply passionate about supporting individuals through every stage of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum — believing that healthy communities begin with healthy beginnings. As a CNM, Sarah can also manage health topics such as well women exams, cervical cancer screening, contraception counseling, menstrual concerns, and overall reproductive wellness. Sarah is also an advocate for perinatal mental health and trauma informed care.
Care Philosophy
As a midwife, my philosophy of care is rooted in compassion, respect, and community. I believe every person deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported throughout pregnancy, birth, and every other milestone of reproductive health. By combining evidence-based practice with a deep commitment to relationship-based care, I strive to empower individuals and families to make informed choices that honor their values and strengthen the health of our community — one birth at a time.
