Dr. Rita Kathawa is a Bariatric Medicine specialist and is founder of Michigan Weight Loss Institute. She is a dual board certified physician in Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine. As a bariatrician, she is an expert in the diagnosis, treatment and overall medical management of obesity and weight related comorbidities. She utilizes FDA approved medications along with lifestyle modifications and surgical referral when appropriate.
