Biographical Statement:
Dr. Bryan Pack grew up in rural Kingsley, in Northern Michigan, before attending the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where he completed the honors program in Cell & Molecular Biology, working in the Orthopaedic Research Laboratory. He was also in the Michigan Marching Band, earning a scholarship.
He obtained his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine, where he was a member of the honorary service organization, the Aesculapians, through which he helped start a medical clinic for homeless teenagers.
He completed an internship in orthopaedic surgery at the Detroit Medical Center, before residency in the Grand Rapids Medical Education and Research Partners Orthopaedic Surgery Program. Dr. Pack then completed his Adult Hip and Knee Reconstruction fellowship at the prestigious Rush University Medical Center/Midwest Orthopaedics, then one of the top 5 orthopaedic programs in the country, where he received advanced training by pioneers in minimally invasive knee and hip replacement, as well as complex primary and revision joint replacement.
After fellowship, he returned as faculty in Grand Rapids, becoming involved in various quality projects, including the Michigan Arthroplasty Registry Collaborative Quality Initiative (MARCQI), in which he serves on the Executive Committee. Having served in various capacities within Trinity Health over the course of 9 years, Dr. Pack moved to Southeast Michigan during the COVID pandemic, helping establish a novel orthopaedic satellite as part of Trinity IHA in Livonia, where he was Chair of the Orthopaedic Department. After 5 years in that program, he joined the exceptional team at Henry Ford Orthopedics West Bloomfield, hoping to complement their tradition of excellence.
