Cancer Survivor Gives Back Through Game On Cancer

When Tracey Turnquist was first told she had breast cancer, she felt numb. Then she remembered she was a fighter.

After six rounds of chemotherapy and 36 rounds of radiation, she was incredibly grateful to learn that she was cancer-free. To celebrate the second anniversary of her survivorship, Tracey decided to join Game On Cancer, a peer-to-peer based fundraising program to raise money for cancer patients and research.

“What makes Game On Cancer unique is that 100% of the proceeds we raise go back to patient services,” says Tracey.

In 2018, Tracey raised more than $3,300 for cancer patients, with funds supporting everything from transportation to doctor’s appointments, to complementary therapies like acupuncture and massage, to important medications.

“What I’m doing for Game On Cancer is something that anybody can do and make a huge impact and change in someone’s life,” she says.
