Melissa Hannish, MD

Biographical Statement

I’m Dr. Hannish, a pediatrician born and raised in metro-Detroit. I consider it an honor to care for families in the area, as I have always felt a strong connection to this region. Practicing here allows me to give back to the people and the place I hold so dear.

I earned my medical doctorate from Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed my residency training in Detroit, where I developed the skills that guide my care today. The decision to become a pediatrician was driven by my passion for working with children and my desire to build lasting, meaningful connections. I find joy in helping children and their families navigate the ups and downs of life, and I take great pride in the role I play in supporting their health and development.

Care Philosophy

As a pediatrician, my mission is to provide the same level of care and attention to your child as I would to my own family members. I believe that every child deserves to feel valued, respected, and understood.
