Overview of Faith Community Nursing
The mission of the Faith Community Nursing Network (FCNN) is to develop and support ministries of health, wellness, and healing while working collaboratively with places of worship. This 1-hour informational session will provide learners with an overview of the roles of Faith Community Nurses, the benefits of having a health ministry in their place of worship, and examples of opportunities to get more involved in the communities they serve.
Date: September 25, 2025
Times: 12 pm - 1 pm or 6 pm - 7 pm
Method of Instruction: Virtual using Teams
Additional details:
Upon conclusion of this educational activity, the learner will:
- Be able to identify at least 1 of the roles of a Faith Community Nurse.
- Be able to identify at least 1 benefit for having Faith Community Nurses in their congregation/place of worship.
- Be able to identify at least 1 volunteer activity for their congregation/place of worship in the upcoming year.
Participants must sign-in at the beginning of the day, attend the entire activity, and participate in learning activities to earn 1.0 nursing contact hours. Henry Ford Health is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by Pennsylvania State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
