DETROIT, MI— Michiganders are seeing the places they lovingly call home represented in a new Henry Ford Health campaign. The Detroit-based health system with more than 550 sites of care across Southeast and Central Michigan proudly launched a collection of ads titled “Where We Live” during two uniquely Michigan holiday traditions—the broadcast of America’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and the Detroit Lions’ annual Thanksgiving Day matchup.

The images in two 30-second television spots take viewers outside hospital walls and research labs and into the living rooms, lakeshores, city streets, parks, and stadiums where life happens and where Henry Ford Health’s impact is felt every day.

“At its core, ‘Where We Live’ is a love letter to Michigan and to Michiganders,” said Bob Riney, Henry Ford Health’s president and CEO. “Our breakthroughs and care mean so much, particularly when they make a real difference for our neighbors right here at home.”

Staying true to Henry Ford Health’s commitment to authenticity, the campaign showcases real team members. Brandie Mitchell, a nurse at Henry Ford Providence Novi Hospital, represents the dedication of 15,000 Henry Ford Health nurses. Dr. Steven S. Chang, a surgeon, researcher, and Peter D. and Julie F. Cummings Endowed Chair in Head and Neck Cancer Surgery, embodies the academic medical center’s commitment to innovative patient care. Even Envy, a golden retriever from the health system’s award-winning Sally and Bob Goldman Therapy Dog Program, makes an appearance.

The spots were directed by Anthony Garth, who is well-known for creating the “Pure Michigan” campaign that ran nationwide for 14 years. Filmed in iconic Michigan locations—including Duly’s Diner in Southwest Detroit, Jefferson Iron Works in Ferndale, and lakes and hiking trails in Metamora—the campaign reflects the diversity and spirit of the communities Henry Ford Health serves.

Narration by actor and Michigan native Jeff Daniels brings it all to life. Daniels grew up in Chelsea, Mich., and continues to call the state home. His commitment to continually investing in his community mirrors Henry Ford Health’s 110-year dedication to the people of Michigan.

Following the success of the “We Go For It” campaign with TV and radio spots featuring Detroit Lions coach Dan Campbell, “Where We Live” continues Henry Ford Health’s tradition of celebrating Michigan pride and the people who inspire 55,000 team members to make the impossible possible for patients and the community every day.
