Pediatric Healthy Weight Clinic
Our Healthy Weight Clinic is 1 of 5 in the country recognized by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and it was developed in partnership with the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
The CDC offers a calculator that reports BMI, BMI percentile and BMI category for children and teens ages 2 through 19.

This Family Healthy Weight Program (FHWP) delivers intensive health behavior lifestyle treatment (IHBLT) for children and adolescents living with overweight or obesity, consistent with AAP guidelines.
Our clinic is designed to help children achieve and maintain a healthy weight. This lifestyle intervention treatment is intensive—requiring a commitment of about 26 hours per week for three to 12 months.
Children ages 2-18 with a BMI at or above the 85th percentile who are being evaluated and managed through our Center for Pediatric Obesity are eligible to enroll.
Through our Healthy Weight Clinic and our related centers and programs, we offer comprehensive care for all pediatric weight management and related issues.
