Do I need all the documents required before sending in my resume?

No. Please send in resume and cover letter together. The other information may be sent in as you get it. However, it is helpful to send in as much together as possible.

Who should I use for my letters of reference?

Please do not use only professors or clinic supervisors for references. At least one reference should be from someone outside of your university (internship supervisor, etc.)

May I send in the letters of reference or should they be sent directly from the reference?

You may send in the letters of reference if they are saved as a PDF. Otherwise you may have your references send the reference directly to me via e-mail or fax.

If I haven’t completed my graduate program by the end of May, am I still eligible to apply?

We occasionally accept fellows who do not graduate until August, but then they will start in September and will complete a 9-month fellowship.

When should I hear whether or not I am being invited for an interview?

We review resumes and determine who will be invited for an interview by mid March. Our interviews are then typically scheduled for some time in April.

How long will the interview last?

We ask that you set aside 4 hours for the interview. You will interview with several staff members, receive a tour of the hospital, and have the opportunity to meet some of our current or past fellows.

If I am coming from out of town, where should I stay?

Please click here for assistance in finding accommodations. All accommodations would require taking a taxi from your hotel to Henry Ford Hospital except Campus Apartments (located right on the Henry Ford campus) and Hotel St. Regis (located a couple of blocks from the hospital).
