About the Program

About Program

  • The Henry Ford Health High School Mentorship Program is a multi-phase educational and career-exposure initiative designed to help high school students envision and pursue futures in healthcare. Grounded in the belief that “if you can see it, you can be it,” the program introduces students to real-world healthcare environments, professional role models, and hands-on learning experiences that build confidence, curiosity, and career clarity.
  • Under the direction of Dr. Ikenna Okereke, the program provides students with exposure to a wide range of healthcare careers—including medicine, surgery, nursing, research, and healthcare administration—through interactive learning, professional mentorship, and experiential opportunities.
