While in the United States, we are dedicated to assisting Japanese families in making health care easy and accessible through our variety of programs made for this exact purpose. Through translation services and beyond, we hope to make the patient's experience as comfortable as possible.
We Deliver Peace of Mind
To enhance our relationship with the Japanese community, Henry Ford Providence Hospital offers a program specific to the unique needs of the growing Japanese patient population in the area.
- Whether a routine physical or more intensive care, the Japanese Program at Henry Ford is dedicated to making hospital visits easy and convenient for all Japanese residents of our community and beyond
- Since 2008, Providence Hospital has been serving the community as the core hospital of the areas, and though changing name to Henry Ford in October 2024, our high-quality services continue to bring peace of mind to our patients, continuing the tradition of serving the Japanese community around us
- Established in 2010 as the sole Japanese program that provided Japanese executives and their families with assistance in all of their healthcare needs as they moved to Michigan, providing appointment assistance, live translation from native staff, and extensive executive health support, and more to the community

Making an Appointment
Executive Health
- Email: japaneseexecutivehealth@hfhs.org or call: 248-465-4024 to schedule an appointment. Patients coming from a company in contract with us should receive an application form to submit via email. If a form has not been provided, please call us at the number above.
- After the appointment time is confirmed, we will send you a confirmation form and all required documents by email
General Care Assistance
- To make an appointment, please call the Japanese Program at 248-465-3817
- Appointments can only be made by phone, as detailed information will need to be confirmed.
- In-person or remote interpretation (tablet or phone) is available at no additional charge.
*Excluding some doctors’ offices - If you would like an interpreter, please call the Japanese Program. The program will coordinate the interpreter and doctor/testing appointments with you.
