Application Process
Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship
Our program aims to fill our spots by though the pre-Match process. Applicants who are interested in the pre-Match process may contact the program coordinator for more information. We begin our pre-Match process in March and conclude by end of June yearly. The program will have set interview dates and will require all documentation, including an attestation from your current program director, to be provided to the coordinator prior to the interview date. Offer letters for successful candidates will be sent out prior to the end of June.
We have two (2) positions offered per year in our two-year ACGME accredited fellowship program. In the event that the program does not fill both spots in the pre-Match process, we participate in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) Registration. Ranking, and Results®️ (R3®️) system main Fellowship Match utilizing the Electronic Residency Application Service Program (ERAS). Applications are accepted when the main Fellowship Match opens annually at the end of July.
In the pre-Match process, we begin accepting applications in March. If we do not pre-Match and participate in the NRMP Fellowship Match, we begin accepting applications in July. We interview candidates for the NRMP Fellowship Match from late August through November.
We do sponsor J-1 visas. We cannot sponsor H-1B visas.

Applicant eligibility criteria
- Trainees must have completed two years in an ACGME accredited general psychiatry residency program.
- USMLE or COMLEX Scores with passing grades including step I, II and III
- Passing of the clinical skills assessment exam
- Recent scholarly activity; publications, abstracts, presentations
Strong interest in child and adolescent psychiatry as demonstrated by scholarly work, personal statement, volunteer experience or other evidence that you provide.
