Something Interesting About You That Many Do Not Know: Team sports have been a huge part in my life. I was one of the top 24 female basketball plays in the country as a high school senior as was lucky enough to play with the McDonald's All-American team in 2010 alongside some of the best male and female athletes in the country, many of whom are still playing professionally today. I then went on to play for MSU, GO GREEN!

Why Henry Ford Warren Family Medicine: I was drawn to this program initially as a base student, where I saw the residents and alumni as the kind of skilled, compassionate doctors I aspired to be. During my audition, I loved the people, the dedicated teaching from faculty, supportive community, OMM opportunities, and caring for a diverse patient population.
Academic/Career Interests: Integrative medicine, preventive and obesity medicine, women’s health, OMM, office-based procedures, medical education, community and health equity, and caring for underserved populations
Hobbies: Writing poetry and reading, painting, cooking and baking, traveling, yoga, fashion, gardening and spending time outdoors, music (I’m always singing or dancing), and spending time with family and friends
Something Interesting About You That Many Do Not Know: I used to teach catechism, then played and eventually taught in my church’s handbell choir. It was a perfect combination of my love of music, faith, teamwork, and teaching. I still find joy making music in unexpected ways.

Why Henry Ford Warren Family Medicine: I auditioned at this program, and fell in love with the atmosphere created by the residents, attendings, and staff! Everybody was so welcoming, and I knew this environment was one where I could grow my confidence in a safe and warm environment.
