About Me
I specialize in Cardiovascular Research, specifically molecular cellular signaling in failing hearts.
Failing hearts are associated with heart remodeling, interstitial fibrosis, apoptosis, mitochondrial dysfunction, inflammation and oxidative stress. Ramesh C. Gupta, Ph.D., believes through his research that developing a therapy for alleviating these abnormalities may improve heart function and thereby the quality of life of a patient who is suffering from congestive heart failure.
Philosophy
I care to understand and focus on in my research how the heart contracts and relaxes in both normal and disease states.
