Application Process
Thank you for your interest in our Headache Medicine Fellowship at Henry Ford Health System - Detroit. We adhere to the Unified Headache Medicine Fellowship Application Timeline and participate in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) Match.
Positions
There are 2 positions available in the Headache Fellowship Program at Henry Ford Hospital-Detroit (HFH), each year on a competitive basis. Academic year begins July 1st.
Qualifications
To apply to the Headache Fellowship Program, you must have completed an accredited four-year residency program in neurology or child neurology in the United States or Canada. You must also be board eligible for the American Board Examination in Psychiatry and Neurology.
Curriculum vitae
- Describe your activities with professional societies, publications, and any other relevant information about your education or experience
- Personal statement of professional goals
- Copy of diploma from your medical school and graduate school
- Official final transcripts
Transcripts must indicate degree earned and date conferred from each medical and graduate school you attended - Provide certified or notarized English translations of documents originally written in a language other than English
- Official test transcripts for all applicable examinations (USMLE and/or COMLEX transcripts)
- Valid ECFMG certificate required if you graduated from a medical school outside the United States
- Three original letters of recommendation from physicians or faculty members who are thoroughly familiar with your work in Neurology/Headache Medicine. One letter should be from your residency training program director. Each letter should include the writer's opinion of your professional, academic, and personal qualifications, as well as an opinion of your potential success in Neurology/Headache Medicine
Interview Season
Most interviews are conducted virtually from May 1 - June 30 each year. Application materials should be sent to Mhamil19@hfhs.org.
