General Surgery Residency

Thank you for your interest in the Henry Ford Warren Hospital General Surgery Residency Program!

It is the mission of the Henry Ford Warren General Surgery residency program to provide comprehensive training in a nurturing environment in order to develop physician leaders who remain with Henry Ford and deliver high quality spiritually centered holistic and compassionate care in their communities. And, in keeping with the values of our previous hospital, of integrity, generosity of spirit and service to the poor, reverence, wisdom, dedication, and creativity. It is our goal to train surgeons with the highest quality of education in the specialty of surgery as well as maintain scholarly activity in a community care setting. The program will enable physicians to graduate as well rounded and competent surgeons in the six ACGME competencies as well as prepare them for certifying boards. It is the priority for all physicians to work in the specialty of surgery after graduation, attend fellowship, or educate/teach in the specialty of surgery.
