Laboratory Genetics and Genomics Fellowship

Henry Ford Pathology and Laboratory Medicine offers an American Board of Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG) accredited fellowship in Cytogenetics and Molecular Genetics with transition to the Laboratory Genetics and Genomics combined certification program. We accept one fellow each 2 year cycle. Trainees will participate in several learning based activities including graduate level classes in human genetics, clinical case conferences, journal club and quality control meetings. As part of the training program, candidates will train and demonstrate proficiency in technical aspects of laboratory testing, reporting and result interpretation, regulatory compliance and medical professional communication.

Requirements

Interested candidates must hold either a valid M.D. or Ph.D. in Genetics or other Biological Science. Previous experience in a clinical laboratory is preferred.
