Academic Schedule

The academic conferences are held on Wednesdays and are comprised of the following:

• 8 a.m. -9 a.m.
  Multidisciplinary conference rotating between Spine/Vascular/AVM/Skull Base, done in an oral-board format.
• 9 a.m. - 10 a.m.
  Neurology/Neurosurgery Grand Rounds
• 10 a.m. -11:30 a.m.
  Neurosurgery didactic conference
  Fourth Wednesday - Morbidity and Mortality 

Journal Clubs to be held monthly from 10 am to noon and run by Dr. Florence Dallo. Dr. Dallo mentors all residents on their academic progress through the program.

Anatomy lab session (i.e., cadaver dissection) are held regularly on Wednesday afternoons.

In addition to the didactic lectures, residents are exposed to working Multidisciplinary Board Conferences during their various rotations, including Carotid Disease, Spinal Oncology, Brain Tumors, Epilepsy, Movement Disorders, Neuromodulation for Pain, Cancer Pain, Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus.
