In-House Rotations:

• Green (General Surgery), Drs. Assenmacher, Nasser and Pfeifer
  
  • Traditional general surgery with emphasis on hernias, robotics, and bariatrics
• Blue (Endocrine & General Surgery), Drs. Narkiewicz, Obi and Prough
  
  • Traditional general surgery with focus on endocrine and oncologic surgery
• Red (Vascular Surgery), Drs. Corcoran & Knipp
  
  • Endovascular and open approaches for a variety of vascular diseases
• Aqua (Thoracic Surgery), Dr. Kulkarni
  
  • Pulmonary and foregut surgery with emphasis on robotics
• Gold (Acute Care Surgery), Drs. Ahmed, Combs, Lapinski, Schweid and Vely
  
  • Trauma and acute care surgery with emphasis on ICU level care
• Pink (Plastic Surgery and General Surgery), Drs. Flis & Frantzis
  
  • Breast cancer surgery and traditional plastic surgery with emphasis on breast reconstruction and augmentation
• Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Drs. Ahmed, Combs, Lapinski, Schweid and Vely
  
  • Management of critically ill surgical and trauma patients
• SICU/Anesthesiology
  
  • Management of critically ill surgical and trauma patients and perioperative anesthesia
• Block Nights
  
  • Overnight junior resident coverage of surgical specialties discussed above

•   Transplant Surgery (Henry Ford Hospital - Detroit, MI)
  • Vital involvement on multidisciplinary procurement and transplantation teams 
• Pediatric Surgery (Dayton Children’s Hospital - Dayton, OH)
  • Elective and traumatic pediatric surgery as well as neonatal emergencies 
• Rural Surgery (M Health Fairview- Wyoming, MN) 
  • Emphasis on bread and butter general surgery including endoscopic training
• Hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) Surgery (Memorial Sloan Kettering- New York, NY)
  • Oncologic focus with emphasis on hepatic, pancreatic, and biliary pathologies
