In-House Rotations:

• Green (General Surgery), Drs. Pfeifer & Assenmacher
  • Traditional general surgery with emphasis on hernias and robotics
• Blue (Endocrine & General Surgery), Drs. Obi & Narkiewicz
  • Traditional general surgery with focus on endocrine and oncologic surgery
• Red (Vascular Surgery), Drs. Corcoran & Jackson
  • Endovascular and open approaches for a variety of vascular disease
• Aqua (Thoracic Surgery), Dr. Kulkarni 
  • Pulmonary and foregut surgery with emphasis on robotics
• Gold (Acute Care Surgery), Drs. Schweid, Combs, Paulasir, Ahmed and Lapinski
  • Trauma and acute care surgery with emphasis on ICU level care
• White (General Surgery), Drs. Prough & Frantzis     
  • Traditional General Surgery with emphasis on breast surgery, digestive disorders, and hernia repair 
• Pink (Plastic Surgery and General Surgery), Drs. Ambani & Flis     
  • Traditional plastic surgery with emphasis on breast reconstruction and augmentation
• Purple (Bariatric Surgery and General Surgery), Dr. Nasser
• Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Drs. Schweid, Combs, Paulasir,  Ahmed & Lapinski
  • Management of critically ill surgical and trauma patients 
• Radiology/Anesthesiology
  • Fundamental knowledge of radiographic imaging and perioperative anesthesia
• Block Nights 
  • Overnight junior resident coverage of surgical specialties discussed above

Out Rotations

•   Transplant Surgery (Henry Ford Hospital - Detroit, MI)
  • Vital involvement on multidisciplinary procurement and transplantation teams 
• Pediatric Surgery (Dayton Children’s Hospital - Dayton, OH)
  • Elective and traumatic pediatric surgery as well as neonatal emergencies 
• Rural Surgery (M Health Fairview- Wyoming, MN) 
  • Emphasis on bread and butter general surgery including endoscopic training
• Hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) Surgery (Memorial Sloan Kettering- New York, NY)
  • Oncologic focus with emphasis on hepatic, pancreatic, and biliary pathologies
