Henry Ford Jackson Hospital Internal Medicine Residency Program is committed to preparing the next generation of physicians to provide comprehensive, compassionate, and high-quality Internal Medicine care. Our goal is to develop well-rounded physicians who are prepared for careers in primary care, hospital medicine, and Internal Medicine subspecialties.

Provide residents with the clinical knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to care for diverse patient populations in any practice setting.

Encourage residents to pursue careers in primary care and other areas of need in Jackson and surrounding communities.

With eight residents entering each year, our program provides a close-knit learning environment and opportunities to tailor rotations and electives to each resident's career interests.

Strengthen Ambulatory Training
Utilize a structured block schedule that supports continuity of learning, minimizes disruptions, and promotes a positive outpatient Internal Medicine experience.

Develop Michigan Physicians
Recruit residents with Michigan connections and an interest in building their careers in Michigan while contributing to the growth and development of our program.

Support Fellowship Aspirations
Offer opportunities for residents pursuing subspecialty careers to participate in elective rotations outside of Jackson, broadening their clinical experiences and strengthening their preparation for fellowship applications.

Build the Future of Healthcare in Jackson
Encourage graduates who pursue fellowship training to consider returning to Jackson and surrounding communities, particularly in areas where additional subspecialty physicians are needed.
