Early Specialization in Interventional Radiology (ESIR)

Application

1-2 residents from each class may be selected for the Early Specialization in Interventional Radiology (ESIR) pathway. ESIR curriculum includes rotations with Vascular Surgery and Neurointerventional services and takes advantage of additional IR case volume at the Ascension Providence Novi campus.

Residents apply for the pathway during the PGY-2/R1 year. With flexibility to accept up to 2 per class, residents in good standing are typically able to enter the track without fear of competition from co-residents.
